  • Players can cross the middle line at the net as long as they do not obstruct the opponent.
  • Teams switch sides every 10 points. (ie: 5-5, 18-12, 21-19...). If the switch is missed, make the switch as soon as possible and continue playing.

League Rules

Substitutes
  • Are permitted except during the playoffs
  • Substitutes need to complete the "Substitute Waiver Form" before being allowed to play
Playoffs
  • All teams make it to the playoffs
  • Playoff seeding is based on your average Tier standing beginning with the results of week 3
Tiers
  • Teams are seeded the first night based on the average age of the players and date of registration (the earlier you signed up, the higher your ranking)
  • Three teams will play in each Tier
  • The team with the best sets won vs lost will advance to a higher tier the next week
  • Matches are 2 straight sets to 21 points, capped at 23 points. For Tiers that have 4 teams, matches are 1 set to 25 points, capped at 27.
  • In the event of a tie the points for/against will be looked at between the tied teams. If still tied, the overall points for/against ratio for all games played. If still tied, the same procedure will be used including the results from the previous week (starting at games won/lost).
Late Teams and No-Shows
  • Teams who are 15 minutes late forfeit the first set, 25 minutes late forfeit the second set.
  • If the game starts late, 1 point per minute is given to the team that is ready to play; to a maximum of 14 points for 14 minutes, because the 15th minute is a forfeit to the late team.
  • Teams that do not show automatically forfeit their matches and drop one tier.
